One day passes into two
And before long
I forgot what it was I had to do.
There are demands on my time
So much for desires -
I have to earn a dime.
The clock runs my life
So many responsibilities
I'm daughter, mother, wife.
One day I will get to this
I'll enjoy my life
Settle for pure bliss.
But hour to hour
I realize what I've missed
And hope turns quite sour.
Summer falls into winter
The rush to finish hits
My time begins to splinter.
One life passes into two
And heaven invites
"Time to try something new."
