A more true friend, I might never hope to find.
One who gives gentle encouragement
Who's loving and kind.
When I begin to slip,
They quickly stretch forth an arm
To pull me to my feet -
Keeping me from harm.
And as I smile with joy,
They laugh along with me.
A friend who truly understands
Just why I am me.
Someone who would take a ste back,
If it promised me more fame -
Never takes the credit
Would rather be just "another name"
As the years seperate us
And takes us our own way...
A friend like this will be forever in my heart...
Locked there, in memory, to stay.
